Advantages:
5DollarHosting is a great example of an account that has all the basics you'd need on a Linux hosting account, without sacrificing reliability or customer support. Where many shared hosts are concerned with offering more space and more bandwidth and unlimited emails, how many people truly need or use more than 25 MB of disk space, 5 GB of bandwidth, or 99 email accounts?
Disadvantages:
As with almost every other host in the $5.00/mo range, their support is limited to web-based only, although it has proven to be one of the better support departments among cheap hosting providers. Going over your bandwidth limit will cost $10/GB for extra bandwidth, so it is not a wise choice for any type of website that will generate large amounts of traffic. They do have bigger accounts with up to 10 GB of data transfer per month, but then the price rises above being called "low cost".
The $19.00 setup fee makes the first year with them actually come out to around $6.60/month, and though they truly are a great host, they just don't have any features that beat out ICDSoft for the same price.
